First Wedding Anniversary
First Wedding Anniversary
There's nothing more special than a first wedding anniversary. It's the first time you
can commemorate the day you exchanged vows with your spouse.
Couples are encouraged to relax and reflect during an intimate
evening on their first anniversary. It's a time for exclusive
romance. Dim the lights, setout some candles and enjoy a
wonderful dinner. If you don't feel like cooking, order
take-out. Better yet, go out for a meal!
Present your spouse with a thoughtful gift for your first
wedding anniversary. It really doesn't matter what the gift is,
it's the thought that counts. Your spouse will feel tickled that
you thought of them. Some luxurious items are fine linens,
perfumes, and jewelry. However, you can always make a small gift
basket for your special night. Fill the basket with music,
roses, a bottle of wine, and bath salts. You can place the roses
on the table, drink the wine with supper, listen to romantic
music, and soak together in a warm bath. It's the stuff that
dreams are made of!
A first anniversary gift should be simple but suggestive. It
should contain a promise of many more years to come. Fabulous
years, that is. Despite the fact that the traditional gift for a
first anniversary is paper, contemporary couples can purchase
anything they desire for one another. However, if you're stuck
on tradition, a gift certificate is an excellent choice is
you're befuddled for an idea. It may not seem traditional, but
it's made out of paper and it can be used to purchase anything.
Out of all of your anniversaries to
come, the first year is
definitely one of the most important. It's not exactly a
milestone, but it comes with a wonderful feeling of pride. It's
a statement. It's your first, with many more to follow. It sets
the tone for what's in store for the future. Make sure you gift
expresses all of your sentiments. Wine and dine your spouse and
provide comfort and an attentive ear. Make them feel like a
million dollars.
Many couples don't go "crazy" over their first year. They seem
to keep things simplistic in nature. Dinner, a movie, roses, and
a card. However, that's not a guidelines. Be creative! Think of
something your spouse really needs or wants. Have they mentioned
anything lately? Start thinking weeks in advance. Don't rush out
at the last minute and just pick up anything. Your partner will
know if you did! When care and though are actually put into an
item it shows.
Pamper your spouse. It's your anniversary! Remind them that you
adore and cherish them. It's not like they don't already know
it, but a small gesture can go a long way. Do it with words and
actions. It's very important to set aside some alone time on
your anniversary. If you have children, see if you can leave
them with a family member for several hours. Your family will
enjoy spending time with your child, and you'll be able to enjoy
some adult-time.
